He studied music as his minor while at Cal State University at Fullerton, and followed that with 2 years playing with the Orange Coast College Jazz Band. Bruce Willard - Bass and Vocals
Bruce has had one love throughout his life: music. He has played professionally in many genres since his early teens, from classic rock to low down Delta blues, acid rock to zydeco, funk and soul to country and bluegrass. He put his music career on hold to travel the world, work, and raise a family, but returned to his home on the Central Coast in 2008 to retire and revive his musical ambitions. Just ask any musician who the busiest bassist in the county is and his name will be the first to come up! But as busy as he is, he is very happy to be a member of the Paso Wine Man Band. |
Bill Grove - Drummer
Bill started playing drums as a teenager, but until 9 years ago music making was only a fond memory from the distant past. Shortly after retirement from AT&T, Bill received a gift of his former (now vintage) Rogers drum set from a drummer pal who had purchased them from Bill many years prior. "He changed my life and I'll be forever indebted to my friend and mentor - I take drumming much more seriously now and work a lot harder at it than before". Being versatile, staying in-the-pocket with solid time, and supporting the song are what I strive for." After stints in several local groups, Bill feels gratified to be a member of the Paso Wine Man Band. "To be able to collaborate with a group of band mates of this caliber is more of a privilege and a pleasure than I could have ever hoped for ....and a heck of alot of fun." |
